I'm so sorry that happened to you. I also loved Wintering. My book recommendation-- which is very on-the-nose re:concussions-- is Sarah Polley's Run Towards the Danger. The titular essay is about her years-long concussion and how she healed, but not in a super chipper How To and You Can Too, way. In a nice memoir way.
So sorry, Sara, and sending you speedy healing wishes. The best book I've ever read on dealing with hard stuff, and the one I return to all the time, is Pema Chodron's When Things Fall Apart.
Good Morning! I am not a big podcast person listener, not to say don’t want to be, I just have not found one that has intrigued me enough. I will say that I believe in the power of the sun. Getting its power heals and strengthens me from the core. It is not easy to get the direct outdoor sun shine in Mpls right now but even sitting in a sunny window helps. Thinking of you! Cleats are the way to go with dog walking and teaching your 4 legged friend a good and consistent heal. 🐕
Thank you for sharing your experiences Sara, I'm sorry you are going through this. I don't have any recommendations to share either. I hope you heal soon and I continue to love what you've created here.
I don’t have any recommendations or advice, but here’s some love: ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Charlotte! Sending some love right back to you <3 <3
